MG I have given her Karo syrup three times and nothing… I can tell she is in pain she was trying to eat every hour but we didnt want to feed her like so we managed to hold her off to 2 1/2 hours then she would eat a lil and scream my poor baby we will see what the dr says bc all she pooped was a little amount and it was dark dark green ha…

let me start by saying this, i am by no means belittling if people want to mourn michael jackson or how they want to grieve, that’s their choice…
i idolized michael jordan growing up, probably the best comparison of any entertainer to athlete at this level…i looked up to him, followed his every move, wanted to be like him, the works…do you … think i’m gonna lose sleep over his death? absolutely not even close…i’ll be sad and it’s gonna suck for everyone’s lives that he changed, but death happens every day, especially to people more important and influential than these guys (like parents)…gandhi or mother teresa deserve this kind of worldwide, god-like treatmen

NewMom#1 hey moms out there- baby keeps spitting up (normal) but then milk will come out of his nose… i called the doc but he doesnt seem too concerned… making the baby really irritable and cranky… any suggestions? trying to feed him sitting straight up with frequent burpings but not working

Mommy#20 max did the same thing for a while! and it was really thinkn and gross coming out of his nose. It happened for a few weeks, but then just stopped. my pedi. said that if it continued it was probably reflux, but since he grew out of it we never did anything about it. I just fed him sitting up as straight as possible, and burping, same as you’re doing. good luck! Hopefully it will just be a phase for you too!

Mommy #12 there have been a couple times Hannah has spit up everything she ate, and it would come out of her nose, but it hasn’t been consistent for her. You could try feeding him less at a time, but more often. if you’re giving him formula, putting a little rice cereal in it might help keep it in his tummy. good luck!

Mommy#129 Are you nursing or bottle feeding? If he’s taking a bottle maybe he’s getting too much…have you changed the nipples lately…maybe he needs one with just one hole instead of 3? If it continues I would call your doctor back and tell him its making him really irritable.

NewMom#1 thanks for all the suggestions guys! – im bottle feeding breast milk… putting him on the boobies wasnt working out… took him to the pedi today again and he said its reflux (you were right on meghan!) and i am going to try rice cereal tonight if he wakes up (last night he slept for 8 hours woo hooo!!!!!!!!!!)

Mommy#15 What kind of nipples do are you using? I know they sell ones that have an extra slow flow for babies that may have some type of reflux disorder… there’s also drops, but I would try a different nipple if possible first. Luck to you!
